NEXIQ Diagnostics
Meritor WABCO trailer brake diagnostics are now supported by the recently introduced Brake-Link handheld tool from NEXIQ Technologies. It allows trailer mechanics to diagnose brake faults on trailers with Meritor WABCO Easy-Stop and Enhanced Easy-Stop brakes.
The Brake-Link tool eliminates the need to decipher blink codes; instead, it displays text messages and simplifies the troubleshooting process by providing more diagnostic information.
Trailer technicians can also use Brake-Link to view and clear current and historic faults. The tool is compatible with the latest power line carrier (PLC) communication protocol, which supports the mandate for an in-cab trailer ABS warning lamp. Technicians can test a range of functions with the tool, including battery voltage; the trailer’s ABS warning lamp; wheel sensors; chuffing, holding and exhaustion modulators; and retrieval of ECU information.
Brake-Link can also be used as a PC-to-vehicle serial interface device for use with most OEM and NEXIQ diagnostic PC applications.
