Niagara bridge tolls raised
NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. — Canadian toll rates at the Niagara Fall bridge crossing will be going up as of this Friday, May 15, 2009.
The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission (NFBC) insists the hike is not a toll increase, but rather it is an exchange adjustment, which is entirely based on U.S. currency and its exchange rate with the Canadian dollar.
The new rates for commercial vehicles are as follows:
2 axle $3.25 / $4.00; 3 per axle $6.50 / $8.00; 4 per axle $12.50 / $15.50; 5 per axle $18.50 / $23.00; 6 per axle $24.50 / $30.00; 7 per axle $30.50 / $38.00; 8 per axle $36.50 / $45.50.
