WASHINGTON, D.C. — Carriers taking possession of explosives for delivery will no longer have to complete ATF Form 5400.8, the Explosives Delivery Record.

But explosives distributors will, however, be required to verify the identity of a driver taking possession of explosives by examining their driver’s license, and must record in their permanent records the name of both the carrier and the driver.

For more see the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announcement at www.atf.gov/press/fy03press/091103commoncontractcarriers.htm
