North America a bright spot for Volvo Group truck sales

Göteborg, Sweden – North America was a bright spot for Volvo Group’s truck operations in November 2014.

Deliveries of all Volvo Group brands to North American customers totaled 5,046 last month, up 21% from November 2013. That includes Volvo, Mack, Renault, UD, and Eicher. Year-to-date, deliveries of these brands in North America totaled 52,893, up 29% from last year’s 41,021.

Worldwide, however, November 2014 was not as positive. Deliveries to all regions totaled 18,224, down 10% from November 2013’s 20,356 units.

The Volvo truck brand was similarly up in North America. The number of units delivered in North America totaled 2,855, up 9% from November 2013. Year-to-date, 31,057 units were delivered, up 32% from last year’s 23,596.

Worldwide, however, the Volvo brand delivered 10,693 trucks in November, a decrease of 13% from November 2013. Year-on-year, the brand is up 3%.

Worldwide deliveries for Mack in November totaled 2,451 vehicles – the vast majority in North America, a 43% increase compared with November 2013.
