FERGUS, Ont. — The Owner-Operators’ Business Association of Canada (OBAC) is offering drivers the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a different variety at the Fergus Truck Show July 25-27.

The association will be providing a NASCAR simulator that will allow participants to experience the thrill of racing on an oval. The full-motion simulator is sponsored by the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, and features a 24-inch screen. It will be the car’s first appearance in Canada.

New OBAC members will be able to take the sim for a spin at no cost. The group will also be offering it for use in exchange for donations to the NAL Insurance Trucking for Wishes campaign which raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“Come out and try your luck on the wide oval,” says OBAC executive director, Joanne Ritchie. “It’s safer than a trip down Highway 401 these days and nearly as exciting. And just to confirm, the simulator’s speed limiter has not been activated.”

The car will be located at booth space L-54.
