OEM honors Atlantic dealer with warranty claims award

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Universal Truck and Trailer (UTT), the largest Freightliner, Western Star and Sterling dealer in Atlantic Canada, has been awarded “Gold” Status by Freightliner for excellence in processing warranty claims.

The award recognizes UTT’s capability to accurately and efficiently process warranty claims. Only 7 percent of the dealers in North America achieve this status, notes UTT, which has branches in Dieppe and Saint John.

“We know that processing warranty claims effectively is a key requirement for our customers and we have worked diligently to implement processes and training to allow our outstanding service team to achieve this accomplishment,” said Matthew Kilfoil, general manager.

“We want our customers to see us as the best choice for every aspect of their business and they now can have confidence that no one will process warranties for them better than Universal Truck and Trailer.”

Brad Thiessen, Canadian Region General Manager for Freightliner said “Universal is a key dealership of ours and we are delighted to see them achieve this award that points to their focus on customer service and warranty excellence.”

Universal Truck and Trailer is a subsidiary of J.D. Irving, Limited, the diverse family-owned enterprise, which also runs Sunbury Transport, Midland Transport, and RST Industries.
