BURLINGTON, Ont. — Ontario Transportation Minister Norm Sterling has announced the QEW Skyway Bridge in Burlington will receive $1.5 million in upgrades.

"When completed, this project will preserve the life of the bridge on this vital trade corridor," vowed Sterling.

The project involves the replacement of rusted steel sections of the Toronto-bound Burlington Skyway Bridge.

"The Skyway Bridge is critical to transportation infrastructure in our area," says Burlington MPP Cam Jackson. "This announcement is in keeping with our government’s commitment to keeping people and goods moving safely and efficiently in Ontario."

Construction already started this month and will wrap up by year-end.
