TORONTO, (Nov 11, 2004) — Canada’s largest trucking association is getting set to pull back the curtains on yet another annual convention, featuring business seminars, forums, and many guest speakers for trucking fleet
managers.

The two-day Ontario Trucking Association convention kicks off today and runs until tomorrow at the Toronto Congress Centre.

Featured industry speakers and entertainers this year include: U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Paul Cellucci (Opening Kick off Breakfast); Mack Trucks Inc. CEO Paul L. Vikner (Friday Breakfast); World renowned author/motivational speaker Dr. John Izzo; and a Hot Stove Lounge featuring
Harry Neale, Christine Simpson of Rogers Sportsnet and Maple Leaf hockey hero Doug Gilmour.

Other guests include: Jessica Holmes of Royal Canadian Air Farce (Freightliner luncheon, Friday); and Juno award winners Blue Rodeo (Gala reception & dinner).

The OTA is repeating, and even expanding last year’s popular executive briefing where CEOs from Canada’s largest trucking carriers comment on the industry’s most prevailing issues. This year the OTA has set up two panels: “TL & LTL Outlook on the Industry,” and “Navigating Through the Perfect Storm.”

Some of this year’s business sessions include:

Let’s Talk Trucking Insurance Pricing; When Consignees are Liable for Shipper Payment Defaults; Improving Employee Relations and Reduce Turnover; Enhancing the Skill Level of New Drivers; Persuade Your Customers to Pay More; Cargo Loss Prevention; Detention Tracking Systems and Satellite Tracking Technology; and Federal and Provincial Labour Laws: What You Need To Know.

The Canadian Trucking Alliance has once gain partnered with the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) to present a two-day featuring a wide range of educational sessions covering equipment maintenance, information technology
and logistics as well as hands-on technicians training and a comprehensive technical exhibition for Canadian motor carriers and equipment users. The event also features a technical display of truck equipment and components
