OTA maintenance director named to Spectra board
TORONTO, Ont., (Jan. 13, 2005) — Brake stroke products manufacturer Spectra Inc. has appointed Rolf VanderZwaag, president of maintenance and technical consultants Techni-Com Inc. and maintenance director for the Ontario Trucking Association, to its advisory board.
VanderZwaag is the author or editor of numerous truck-related curricula used in apprenticeship training in Ontario. He has appeared as an expert witness on numerous occasions before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ministry of Labour Arbitration, and the Ontario Appeal Court over the past decade.
Currently, Mr. VanderZwaag is Co-Chair of the Air Brake Endorsement Revision Committee for Ontario as well as Chair of the Commercial Vehicle Wheel Service Redevelopment Committee.
Spectra Products Inc. is a Toronto-based designer, manufacturer and distributor of Brake Safe, the visual brake stroke indicating system, and Brake Inspector, the company’s electronic in-cab air brake diagnostic system.
