OTA reveals list of speakers at annual convention

TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario Trucking Association has released the list of speakers at this year’s annual OTA Convention.

The event is being held at the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto on November 4-5 and registration for the event opens on May 1, 2015.

Among the list of speakers are:

  • Michael Wekerle, described as “Mick Jagger meets Warren Buffet” because he is a rock star in the world of Canadian finance.
  • Shaun Majumder, cast member of This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
  • Captain David Marquet, who served in the US submarine force for 28 years and turned his (last in retention) nuclear submarine crew into the premier ship in the US navy.
  • Dr. Kimberley Amirault-Ryan, a performance consultant for the Edmonton Oilers. Her work has earned her numerous awards including The Globe and Mail’s “Top Power 50” and WXN Canada’s “Most Powerful Women Top 100 Award.”
  • Mark Bowden, a communications expert who specializes in teaching how persuasive communication skills can set yourself and your business apart from the rest.

The OTA says the event this year will include activities for the OTA’s Next Generation participants along with a reception for first-time participants and OTA carrier members.
