TORONTO, Ont. — OTA VP and CTA VP of Economic Affairs Stephen Laskowski has been invited by the Ambassador of the United States to Canada to participate in the U.S. International Visitor Leadership Program.

As a result of this opportunity, Laskowski will travel extensively in the U.S. over a 21-day period to meet with federal and state transportation officials. The dates for his visit to the United States are yet to be determined. But the networking opportunities this invitation will afford will be of significant benefit to both the Ontario Trucking Association and the Canadian Trucking Alliance, say officials for the two organizations.

Just being considered for this program is a huge accomplishment The US International Visitor Leadership Program has been in operation for 60 years and alumni of the program include 186 current and former Chiefs-of-State or heads of government. Over 600 alumni have gone on to become cabinet level ministers in various countries. Other alumni include business leaders, judges and senior government officials.

Truck News would like to congratulate Stephen Laskowski for his achievement.
