OTA seals arrangement for exclusive C-TPAT trailer seals

TORONTO, Ont. — The Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) has entered into an exclusive national arrangement with One Seal to provide the trucking industry with C-TPAT compliant trailer seals.

“OTA has heard from the carrier community that it is frustrated in trying to remove C-TPAT rigid steel bolt seals. Huge bolt cutters are required; drivers are frustrated both in their attempts to cut the bolts and have expressed concern regarding bolt fragments. The issue of bolt fragments increasing the frequency of tire punctures has also been expressed to OTA,” said OTA president David Bradley.

OTA believes that the OneSeal product line significantly mitigates many of these issues, while ensuring compliance.

The OneSeal patented 79-T96 flexible High Security bolt seal offers carriers, their customers and drivers compliance with C-TPAT standards and peace of mind in knowing the removal of the seal will be a trouble-free matter.

“The association witnessed the enormous size of the bolt cutter required and physical effort needed to remove traditional C-TPAT rigid steel bolt seals. The OneSeal product requires a seal cutter that will fit in your truck’s glove box (14 inches) with the same physical effort exerted when one prunes a flower. We were amazed at this product,” added Bradley.

The association will also be carrying OneSeal C-TPAT cable seals but expects carriers who are using cable seals to flock to the OneSeal flexible bolt seal.

Interested carriers can e-mail OTA’s Esperanza Tom (sales@ontruck.org) for a complete C-TPAT seal product line pricing, which includes C-TPAT flexible bolts, bolt cutters and cable seals.
