TORONTO, Ont. — The Ontario Trucking Association would like to remind members and non-members of its upcoming seminars on Ministry of Transport Ontario’s weight and dimension reforms for tractor-trailer combinations.

MTO recently announced the imminent implementation of new rules affecting vehicles built after Jan. 1/06 and some newer model vehicles. The rules are of particular interest to carriers operating multi axle equipment, particularly 4, 5, 6 axle trailers, trains and any semi-trailers with lift axles.

Carriers with existing equipment and those considering purchasing new equipment need to be aware of these regulatory changes and may require lead-time in making business decisions concerning their choice of equipment.
The full day seminars are being offered to members and non-members Tuesday, Aug. 9 and Wednesday, Aug. 31, for further information visit www.ontruck.org/education/seminar.
