Overland taps into Prince George market

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — LTL and courier company, Overland, is expanding into the Prince George market with nightly deliveries from other parts of the province.

Regularly scheduled runs will be made to Prince George from Vancouver, Kamloops and Okanagan cities including Kelowna, Vernon and Salmon Arm.

“Shipment speed is our focus, and scheduled overnight service between Kamloops and Prince George every day is a first,” says Overland president Claus Jensen. "We see Prince George as a great place to work, an area with excellent economic prospects. The people we’ve met in Prince George have encouraged us to be a part of giving the north faster and more efficient choices for getting materials to and from the city. The changes to B.C. Rail have also encouraged us. The rail line seemed to be subsidizing the pricing of its trucking services, and that made it difficult to compete.”
