P3 possible border solution: Cannon

WINDSOR, Ont. — A public-private partnership (P3) may be the answer to the border woes at the Windsor/Detroit crossing, federal Transport Minister Lawrence Cannon said yesterday.

He suggested in a speech that Ottawa is willing to listen to the private sector if it wishes to help build and operate a new border crossing into the US.

A new bridge linking Hwy. 401 with US Interstate I-75 is expected to be built by 2013.
