Paccar taps new pres to replace Cardillo

BELLEVUE, Wash. – Paccar‘s Board of Directors have appointed Ron Armstrong to the position of president, effective January 1, 2011.

Jim Cardillo will be retiring as president in December.

Armstrong was most recently executive vice president. He first joined the company in 1993 after serving in senior management roles with Peterbilt and DAF Trucks.

"Jim has made a wonderful contribution to Paccar’s success for over 20 years," the company stated in a press release of outgoing boss Cardillo.

Meanwhile, in other company news, the company launched a new website, paccarengines.com dedicated to Paccar engines installed in DAF, Kenworth and Peterbilt brand trucks.

The engine website also provides links to DAF, Kenworth and Peterbilt websites to enable a better understanding of the integration of the engine, powertrain and vehicle chassis.

The Paccar MX engine was recently introduced as the premium heavy-duty engine in Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks.
