Parts manufacturer names new president

CULLMAN, Ala. Webb Wheel Products has named Pedro Ferro as its new president. He comes to Webb Wheel from Arvin Meritor, where he had global responsibility for brakes and wheel ends as vice-president and general manager, Braking Systems and Commercial Vehicle Emissions.

With Pedros extensive industry experience and leadership qualities, we look forward to building on Webb Wheels industry leading positions through unsurpassed innovation, quality and service to our customers, stated Kelly Dier, president of Marmon Highway Technologies.

Webb Wheel Products, headquartered in Cullman, Ala., is a Marmon Highway Technologies company that manufactures hubs, brake drums and rotors for medium and heavy-duty trucks, trailers and buses.

Ferro joined Arvin Meritor in 2001 from Motor Coach Industries, where he served as executive vice-president of sales, marketing and distribution. Previously, he spent 14 years with Cummins in management positions including vice-president of automotive information products business.

With an advanced degree in distribution and logistics from Instituto de Engenharia in Maua, Brazil, Ferro also holds a degree in industrial administration from FCAV-University of Sao Paulo. He earned a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia Industrial (FEI) and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
