PeopleNet boss up for prestigious Ernst & Young honor

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Onboard communications suppler PeopleNet says that its CEO and founder Ron Konezny is a finalist for the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.

The award is given to entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Originally, as the company’s chief technology officer, Konezny led the launch of several PeopleNet’s flagship products and services that help North America’s trucking industry improve fleet management, including the first commercial product to integrate GPS, wireless communications and the Internet.

The Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year Award is one of the world’s most prestigious business honors for entrepreneurs.
