SUNNYVALE, Calif. — US-based GPS device manufacturer Trimble has signed an agreement to acquire privately-held PeopleNet. The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive upon close and will be reported in Trimble’s Mobile Solutions segment. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of this year, subject to customary closing conditions and expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
