Peterbilt delivers first truck with Paccar MX engine

DENTON, Texas — Peterbilt has delivered its first truck powered by the Paccar MX engine.

The Model 386 with the 12.9-litre Paccar MX engine was handed off to customer McClymonds Supply and Transit during a recent ceremony at Peterbilt headquarters.

“The first Paccar MX produced at the Denton facility signifies an increased level of powertrain integration and vehicle optimization, delivering performance synonymous with the high quality the industry has come to expect from Peterbilt,” said Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice-president, Bill Jackson.

The new Paccar MX is available with Peterbilt Models 587, 388, 386, 384, 367 and 365. It’s available with ratings of 380-485 hp and torque outputs up to 1,750 lb.-ft.
