Pink truck captures award… and hearts

Caswell Concrete Products pink truckSAULT STE MARIE, Ont. – Caswell Concrete Product has earned a special award for its support of community fundraising efforts.

The Algoma Community office of the Canadian Cancer Society has nominated them for the “Impact in Community Fundraising” award.

The company and its bright pink cement truck are a fixture in the community, having raised $4,485 in 2014 for cancer research, and raised public awareness of the fight against breast cancer.

“The award recognizes Caswell Concrete’s efforts to make a difference in the lives of those living with cancer, and creating an impact in the fight against cancer through fundraising and awareness,” says Lori McDonald, fundraising coordinator for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Caswell Concrete’s president and owner, Don Caswell, received the award, saying it plans to continue the fight against cancer, bringing other industries into their fundraising efforts.
