PMTC urges carriers to get their ink on

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) is calling for entries for its 26th annual Vehicle Graphics Design Awards Competition.

Co-sponsored by 3M Canada’s Commercial Graphics Division, the awards recognize truck fleet operators (private or for-hire) and graphic design companies that graphically enhance their vehicles.

The competition is open to all Canadian truck fleet operators. The entry deadline is May 2, 2011; and entry details are available at www.pmtc.ca and www.3mgraphics.ca.

"Vehicle graphics are a visual way to promote products and services and at the same time these trucks promote a very positive image of the trucking community," says Bruce Richards, president, Private Motor Truck Council of Canada.

"Companies that use effective fleet graphics while delivering their products are making the best possible use of the marketing opportunities that their fleet offers."

The award categories include: Tractor Trailer Combination Special Event/Promotion; Straight Truck Night-time Safety; Light Duty Commercial Truck; Identity Fleet Graphics; and Human Interest.

Award winners will be announced the annual PMTC general meeting, which takes place in King City, Ont. on June 23rd and 24th.
