EDMONTON, Alta. — Auxiliary Power Dynamics, manufacturers of the Willis Auxiliary Power Unit, has authorized Alberta-based Polar Mobility Research to install and service the Willis APU at its locations in Canada.

Polar Mobility joins a network of independent truck service shops across the US and Canada where customers can get their Willis APUs professionally installed and serviced. Polar Mobility can service and install the Willis APU at its three locations in Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton.

Polar Mobility, which has been in business since 1981, designs, builds and installs heating, air conditioning and air filtration systems for specialized construction, mining and military heavy-duty mobile equipment. The company also installs truck refrigeration units and cooling and heating systems for sleeper cabs in highway trucks.

Glen Lemke, Edmonton branch manager and a co-owner of Polar Mobility, said his company chose to become an authorized Willis APU installer and warranty service provider because the Willis APU offers a great value for customers.

The Willis APU offers cooling and heating capacity through a three-cylinder, 18-hp Kubota engine.
