Port passes required for B.C. drivers

VANCOUVER, B.C. — Port passes will soon be required by truckers wishing to access the Centerm port terminal in B.C.

The Vancouver Port Authority (VPA) has designated the B.C. Trucking Association as the agency responsible for issuing port passes to truckers. If your company requires port passes, but has yet to hear from the BCTA, contact the association’s Sandra Stashuk at 604-888-5319.

Drivers will also soon need port passes to access Deltaport and Vanterm, however a deadline has not yet been set for those terminals. Day passes will be available for drivers who only visit the ports occasionally. There’s no word yet on the cost of day passes.
