STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — PPG Commercial Coatings will offer several training seminars on the Delfleet polyurethane paint system for Freightliner LLC paint technicians in 2005.

PPG is an authorized supplier to Freightliner LLC worldwide, offering products approved for warranty and aftermarket collision repair.

The course is designed for paint technicians who work in OEM/refinish Freightliner facilities and who use the Delfleet Evolution system. Freightliner, the largest manufacturer of heavy duty trucks in North America, approved PPG as a supplier in 2003.

The course provides technical and product training for Freightliner approved products, focused on product capabilities and equipment application. Included in the two-day seminar are fundamentals, a commercial fleet spray equipment overview, fleet substrates, topcoats, primers and clearcoats, environmental information and safety. Classes will take place at PPG Business Development Centers across North America.

A pilot course took place in December, 2004 at the Atlanta Business Development Center, located in Smyrna, Georgia. Eight Freightliner Certified paint technicians attended the two-day class.

"This course was highly beneficial to our Freightliner technicians. Our painters need more hands-on training experience. The ins and outs of PPG technology will be of tremendous assistance to our guys on the job," said to Bill Murray, national instructor for Freightliner LLC
