Professional forwarding programs start this September

TORONTO, Ont. — The Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association is offering two professional freight forwarding programs starting this September.

Module I will introduce students to the fundamentals of international freight forwarding. Topics include: understanding exporting and importing, transport geography, terms of trade, land transportation, air freight and ocean freight.

Module II will expand further on the multi-faceted aspects of international freight forwarding, and examines the intricacies of ships and chartering thereof, the chartering of airplanes, project management, the importance and relevance of customs process and compliance/transaction basics/complications and advanced issues, IT and e-logistics.
