SAN ANTONIO, Tex. — Pressure Systems International, manufacturer of the Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS), has promoted two employees into vice-president roles.

Steve Ottemann was appointed vice-president of operations and Mike McIver was appointed vice-president of manufacturing.

Tim Musgrave, president and CEO of PSI, lauded the accomplishments of Ottemann and McIver in making the announcement of their promotions.

Under Steve and Mikes leadership, weve been able to reach significant operations benchmarks which allow us to meet the increased demand for the MTIS product. The entire staff has stepped up to making our operation more productive, he said. We take every opportunity to show the community and our customers how we operate and Steve and Mike have played a major role in making our operation something to be proud of. We appreciate their efforts.

Ottemann, with more than 30 years business experience in both the private and public sector, joined PSI in 2004 as director of operations. Prior to joining the company, he held varied positions of responsibility including business manager, Saint Marys Hall Private School in San Antonio; vice-president Cincinnati Ohio Public Schools; and CFO
Phillips 66 Driscopipe in Plano, Tex.

During his tenure at PSI, Ottemann has directed over 12 Kaizen events resulting in increased production and shipping capacities, reduced inventories and the development of personnel to improve all aspects of the work environment. He and McIver were named PSI Presidential Employees of the Year in 2005.

McIver began his career with PSI in 2003 as director of manufacturing. At PSI, McIver combines his experience in teaching and lean manufacturing techniques to encourage continuous improvements in the manufacture of MTIS by PSI. He has successfully reorganized work cells at PSIs San Antonio facility to increase productivity while maintaining the recognized quality of the product. In addition to being the co-recipient of the PSI Presidential Employee of the Year in 2005 with Ottemann, McIver received the PSI leadership award in 2004.
