TORONTO, Ont. — Purolator is launching its 10th annual “Tackle Hunger Week” June 4-8. The company-wide event will have Canadian Football League players, along with Purolator’s staff and partners, working together to collect food and funds for local food banks across Canada.

This year, Purolator customers visiting its network of 130 shipping centres will also be invited to donate to their local food banks. All of Purolator’s shipping centre locations across Canada will have designated collection bins where customers can donate non-perishable food items. Customers can also donate by visiting one of Warehouse One’s 115 retail stores across Canada.

Event organizers say this year’s goal is to raise the equivalent of 450,000 lbs of food, a 30% increase over last year’s result. All donations remain in the communities where they are raised, the company said.
