Purolator Names Its Top Carriers

TORONTO — Trucking and courier services provider Purolator Inc. has named the recipients of its 2014 Carrier of the Year Awards.

Laidlaw won Short Haul Carrier of the Year Award and AYR Motor Express was named Long Haul Carrier of the Year Award.

Introduced in 1996, the Purolator Carrier of the Year Award objectively evaluates Purolator’s carriers in a number of key areas such as on-time performance, peak-season performance and customer service, according to the company.

The evaluation also looks at carrier fitness, which includes fuel efficiency, security, contingency plans and safety and standards performance.

Purolator’s line haul carriers move approximately 35 percent of its customers’ daily freight.
