Purolator USA names new district manager

Purolator USA has appointed David Borchik eastern district sales manager.

In his capacity, Borchik will have overall responsibility for sales operations and account relationships, as well as for ensuring consistency of processes throughout the Eastern region.

Borchik brings to his position more than 25 years of experience in the global logistics and supply chain industries. Most recently, he served as president of Link Logistics NA, LLC, an independent transportation company with expertise in export/import services. Prior to that, Borchik held a senior position with Maersk Line shipping company with emphasis on sales, operations and building account relationships in the global transportation and logistics arena.

“Dave’s tremendous experience in the logistics field will be a great asset both to Purolator and to our customers,” said director of sales John Jensen. “He has great insight into current practices in global supply chain solutions that will ensure Purolator’s status as the ‘go to’ provider of solutions for service to, from and within the Canadian market.”

He said reliable access to the Canadian market has become critical to U.S. business, where firms are increasingly looking to Canada as a source of economic growth.

The U.S. Department of Commerce reported that trade between the two countries during June increased more than 32 percent over 2009 levels, with Canadian consumers exhibiting a strong demand for U.S products.

Purolator USA, Inc. is a subsidiary of Purolator Courier Ltd, specializing in the air and surface forwarding of express, freight and parcel shipments, customs brokerage, fulfillment and delivery services to, from and within Canada.
