Quebec driver joins Haul of Fame

MONTREAL, Que. — Shell Canada honoured Quebec trucker Serge Gosselin by inducting him into the ROTELLA T Million Mile Haul of Fame during Expocam in Montreal on April 14.

Gosselin is a professional driver from St-Romuald, Que. and after one million miles his 1997 Freightliner, with a CAT engine, still had the original pistons, liners and rings; and no previous maintenance had been done on its key components.

Ive compared other oils when I worked for other companies but the choice was very simple when I started my own company, said Gosselin. ROTELLA T is the only oil Ive put in my trucks for the past 10 years. Ive known about ROTELLA T for a long time because its the only oil my dad used in his trucks.

The ROTELLA T Million Mile Haul of Fame is an award program recognizing Canadian drivers or fleet managers who take their new, or newly rebuilt engines, one million miles or more exclusively on ROTELLA T oil without a major engine overhaul.

The program was established in 1992 and there are currently 40 members in the Haul of Fame, including Gosselin.

Gosselins truck is the first in a fleet of 16 he has purchased to travel from Quebec City to Labrador and the North Shore to haul materials for mining companies. On these routes, his trucks travel at least 1,600 kilometres on gravel roads, often in poor winter conditions and alongside large mining vehicles.

The Million Miler program truly demonstrates that ROTELLA T heavy-duty engine oil belongs in a drivers truck, said Les Markiewicz, general manager of commercial sales and marketing with Shell. We are proud of Mr. Gosselins achievement in demonstrating that ROTELLA T oil could take him over a million miles, and are pleased to add his name to this exclusive program.
