Quinte club hosts a day on the links (July 17, 2002)

QUINTE WEST, Ont. — The Quinte Industrial and Transportation Club will host its annual best ball golf tourney on Sept. 10.

The event, slated for CFB Trenton Golf Club, is sure to fill up fast. To get more information or a registration form, contact Robin Sager at OMG Belleville Ltd. at 613-966-8881.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the first tee off time is 9 with the last foursome going out at 12:30 p.m.

Early registration means a cost of $80 per golfer, which goes up to $90 later entrants. Those wishing to take part in the dinner only will pay $25.

Included in the full package are golf fees, a cart rental, fantastic steak dinner with all the trimmings, coffee and muffins (donated by PBB Global Logistics), longest drive contest, closest to the pin contest, hole in one contest, shortest drive contest, and putting contest (the prize is a golf bag donated by JO Express).

Holes are still available for sponsorship and donations of prizes would be greatly appreciated.

Early bird registration closes on Aug. 16.
