Racing series approaches start line with June opener

CALGARY, Alta. — The North American Big Rig Racing series is gearing up to open the 2006 racing season with a June event in Calgary.

The rigs will line up at Race City Speedway on June 14 to open the season. A future tentative date is slated for another run at the Calgary speed track on July 1, before the drivers hit the open road for other races in the circuit.

Other dates scheduled on the tour include a July 15 race at South Sound Speedway in Tenino, Wash. and a July 22 race at Western Speedway in Wenatchee, Wash.; before returning back to Calgary for an Aug. 27 event.
