WINNIPEG, Man. — The Ram Group of Companies has shuffled its senior management roles and responsibilities as part of a restructuring of the company’s operations.

For starters, Winnipeg Motor Express was acquired in full by Richard Sobey and family. Sobey was already majority owner of the fleet prior to taking it over in full. Sobey is now chairman and chief executive officer of the Ram Group of Companies.

Meanwhile, Brian Page, formerly vice-president of Winnipeg Motor Express, will now be president of the Ram Group and general manager of Winnipeg Motor Express. His new role will make him responsible for both Winnipeg Motor Express and Ram Messenger.

In addition, Sean Sobey, formerly vice-president of distribution for Ram Messenger, is now president and general manager of Ram Messenger, reporting to Page.

“These announcements represent the successful culmination of our desire to build a world-class management team,” says Richard Sobey. “It is something we have been working toward for the past two years.”
