Rand McNally Canada maps out bigger stake in Canada
MARKHAM, Ont. (Nov. 19, 2004) Rand McNally Canada has acquired Perly’s Maps — a leading map detailer of the greater Toronto area.
With the deal, Rand McNally plans to invest in both brands and build on its current position of offering its extensive line of consumer, business and educational map products throughout Canada.
James Perly, president of Perly’s Inc., will work with Rand McNally Canada during the transition, and will play an important role in contributing to the development of plans for the Perly’s brand.
A third-generation family business, Perly’s has grown to become a household name in the Greater Toronto Area, and has established itself as an invaluable tool for business users, police, fire and emergency services across the region.
With this addition, Rand McNally Canada now offers in excess of 175 Canadian map-related products to the consumer, business and educational markets across Canada. With access to over 2,000 U.S. and international titles, Rand McNally Canada offers the most comprehensive line of map products in Canada, the company says.
