EDMONTON, Alta. — Canadian suspension manufacturer Raydan Manufacturing has delivered its first CMSMP-2009 trailer suspension to the US Marine Corps.

The year-long supply deal is valued at more than $7 million. Raydan was selected to design and supply a high-articulation, high-mobility tandem axle trailer suspension to the US Marine Corps.

The system has been in development and testing for two and a half years, Raydan notes.

“This shipment represents a breakthrough to a major new market as a qualified supplier to the US military,” said Ray English, president and CEO of Raydan. “We’ve designed a suspension that will enable a trailer to keep pace with a truck equipped with an independent suspension.”

Raydan is anticipating further orders and will also begin supplying spare parts in 2010.
