Reefer Ducting

Thermo King’s new FlexAir duct system has a collapsible transition section allowing drivers to fully use cube space when loading the trailer for backhauls. Like other duct systems, FlexAir mounts to the ceiling of the trailer. However, with the new collapsible transition section, space from the ceiling is reduced to 3.5 inches, nearly 12 inches less than other systems, the company says. The transition section is made of the same material as the rest of the air-transition duct-a high-density polyethylene material that’s approved for contact with food products. Designed for Thermo King’s SB-200 and SB-300 trailer refrigeration units, it pairs with the FlexAir bulkhead.
