LANGLEY, B.C. — The deadline for hotel reservations during the British Columbia Trucking Association’s annual general meeting and management conference is fast approaching.

Hotel rooms at the Delta Victoria Pointe Resort must be booked by May 1 for the 93rd annual event, which is being held from June 2 to June 4. The scenic resort will host the weekend’s business sessions and guest speakers, but the BCTA has also arranged for other social events and some time on the golf course.

It is expected a provincial government official will be on hand to address attendees at the AGM. As well industry consultant Dan Baker will head a session on improving corporate culture, while The Western Standard publisher, Ezra Levant will discuss how the politics of a new government will effect trucking in Western Canada.

The BCTA will also be honouring key contributors to the industry during the banquet with the Driver of the Year Award and the BCTA Service to Industry Award.

For further information on the weekend’s events visit www.bctrucking.com or contact the BCTA at 604-888-5319.
