DESHLER, Neb. — Reinke, a manufacturer of over-the-road trailer equipment, received the honor of carrying the ornaments for the U.S. Holiday Capitol Tree from Oregon to Washington, D.C.

The Reinke trailer held more than 6,000 ornaments, hand made by citizens of Oregon. The ornaments were displayed on a smaller tree inside the truck for viewers. On the cross-country tour, the trailer and the U.S. Capitol Holiday Tree visited cities along the way for various community celebrations.

“Reinke is honored to be involved with the U.S. Capitol Holiday Tree program,” says Brad Schultz, Reinke director of trailer sales.

The trailer was provided by Reinke dealership Pacific Truck & Trailer in Grants Pass, Ore. “We were asked if we were interested in hauling the decorations for the tree,” says Bob Grover, owner of Pacific Truck and Trailer. “We were honored to help in the transportation of the ornaments and to be involved in such an exciting opportunity for our state.”

The tree and ornaments left Oregon Nov. 11 and arrived at the U.S. Capitol lawn Dec. 2.
