MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Cancom Tracking announced recently that Eassons Transport Limited has signed a five-year contract extending their business relationship with Cancom Tracking to 17 years.

Nova Scotia based Eassons Transport began its relationship with Cancom in August of 1992 by purchasing 30 OmniTRACS units, and in the past 12 years that number has more then quadrupled. Not only have they expanded their business but their service offering as well.

Eassons Transport introduced Internet tracing, allowing customers to track their shipments on the Internet, and receiving up-to-date satellite position histories. In conjunction with this service an automatic e-mail delivery notification confirmation service was also introduced. This allows customers to receive a delivery confirmation e-mail the second the driver updates his shipment status via satellite.

"Cancom provided us with technology that has withstood the test of time. We have seen our return on investment time and time again on OmniTRACS and SensorTRACS," said Paul Easson, president of Eassons Transport.
