MOUNT VERNON, Mo. — Suspension systems manufacturer Reyco Granning has named David J. Compton as company president.

Compton’s background includes more than 30 years at a Tier 1 automotive supplier with experience in engineering, operations and general management. Officials say Compton’s career accomplishments include the introduction and supervision of lean initiatives, expansion into international markets, and the establishment of a significant independent aftermarket parts business.

“David comes to Reyco Granning with the skills we need to capitalize on the growth and success we’ve had over the past two years,” said Ray Mueller. Mueller, who stepped in as president during the company’s change in ownership, will move to a new role as senior vice-president of business development. “This new structure will allow me to focus on new products and market opportunities.”

“I’m excited to join Reyco Granning at a time when great progress has been made to emerge after the economic downturn as a strong and healthy company,” said Compton. “With the financial stability of the recent change of ownership, this company is destined for significant growth and success.”
