SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Ridewell Suspensions has formed a strategic partnership with Weweler Nederland to produce an electronically-controlled, forced-steer auxiliary axle suspension system.

The joint venture between the suspension manufacturers will integrate Weweler’s European technology with Ridewell’s knowledge of the North American vehicle market. The new system will provide users with improved fuel economy, reduced tire wear and improved maneuverability, according to company officials.

Features of the suspension system include hydraulic steering with electronic control, a programmable electronic control unit that senses vehicle speed and front axle steer angle, custom formed axle beam, compatibility with steel and air suspended drive axles and axle load capacities up to 20,000 lbs.
