Road Knight troupe honored by OTA carriers

TORONTO — Ontario’s most respected highway ambassadors were recognized last week for their service to the trucking industry at the 80th annual convention of the Ontario Trucking Association.

OTA’s 2005-06 Road Knights Team, made up of professional truck drivers who make presentations about how car and truck drivers can safely share the road and careers in the trucking industry, was presented with a plaque at a ceremony in Toronto.

The nine-member team has spent the past two years since they were selected visiting a wide variety of organizations including business and social clubs, driving schools and corporations, where they deliver a message of safe driving and industry good will. Team members also talk to career seekers about the wide variety of job opportunities in the trucking industry.

The 2005-2006 Road Knights Team is made up of:
