TABER, Alta. — During a recent visit to Southern Alberta, Premier Ralph Klein, indicated road tolls may become a reality in the province.

Klein fielded questions about the recently announced $2 billion surplus realized by the province and he said while about half of that will go towards infrastructure, the province will also be looking for ways to recover its investment.

Klein said at the meeting revenue would be generated through "The concept of P3s, public private partnerships. Other concepts include things like toll roads or municipalities to look at new ways of creating revenue."

The province is expected to release it’s new budget Apr. 8.
