TORONTO, Ont.– The 16th annual Roadcheck is to be held June 3 through 5 throughout Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

About 9,000 safety inspectors will be on the job for a 24-hour period at fixed inspection sites on major highways and in roving patrols.

Nearly 50,000 vehicles and drivers were inspected in 2002, when out-of-service rates were lower than in previous years.

All fleet operators, owner-operators and drivers are advised to take note of the above dates.
