Roadrunner Expands Outbound Toronto Service

CUDAHY, WI – The trucking company Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc. has expanded its less-than-truckload offering to include outbound service from Toronto while getting new leadership for its Canadian operations.

“We are excited to add outbound service from Toronto to meet the needs of our customers who require both inbound and outbound services. Toronto is a key market, which we already service with inbound freight, and our partnerships have given us the resources to expand services in both directions,” said Grant Crawford , president of less-than-truckload. “We look forward to expanding services to additional Canadian markets in the future.”

In conjunction with the expansion of services, Roadrunner also announced the addition of John Geertsema as general manager for Canada.

According to Roadrunner, Geertsema is a seasoned transportation industry professional with almost 40 years of cross-border sales experience in the truckload and less-than-truckload markets. He joins Roadrunner from FedEx Express Canada, where he was most recently managing director of sales.

Roadrunner is a U.S.-based asset-light transportation and logistics service provider offering global supply chain services, including customized and expedited less-than-truckload, truckload logistics, intermodal, freight consolidation, inventory management, expedited services, air freight, international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and transportation management services.
