Ryder brings in former Cat exec
MIAMI — Truck leasing and logistics provider Ryder System has elected to its board of directors, James S. Beard, a former top executive of Caterpillar Inc.
Beard will serve on Ryder’s finance and compensation committees.
Beard, 67, served as president of Caterpillar’s Financial Services Corp. He was also a financial products division corporate vice-president.
