Saskatchewan Mack dealer the pride of Canada

REGINA, Sask. — A Saskatchewan-based Mack dealer was recognized as Canada’s best taking home the truck maker’s Canada Distributor of the Year award for 2007.

Gary Redhead is the dealer principal of Redhead Equipment, which is based in Regina. Redhead Equipment has been a Mack dealer since 1990 and today employs 360 people at its five locations scattered across the prairie province, which are located in Saskatoon, Swift Current, Lloydminster and Estevan.

Redhead’s honor was announced alongside the rest of Mack Trucks’ 2007 Distributor of the Year awards.

Every year, Mack acknowledges the efforts and contributions of its dealer network by honoring high-performing distributors in its U.S., Canada and International business units.

“Mack’s operating philosophy is that the customer is the foundation of our business,” says Kevin Flaherty, Mack senior vice president of sales. “We can’t achieve our goal of customer satisfaction without a network of strong, committed and competent dealers. I salute our 2007 award winners for their great accomplishments and for the example they set for all Mack distributors.”

Selection criteria include sales, facilities, personnel, leasing, service, parts, general management, customer satisfaction and community service.

Ballard Mack Sales and Service of Worcester, Mass. is the U.S. Distributor of the Year, while Salinas y Fabres S.A. of Santiago, Chile was named Mack International Distributor of the Year.
