GREEN BAY, Wis. — Schneider National Inc., hosted its tenth tractor skills competition at the Schneider National Green Bay Maintenance facility on Sept. 26 to Sept. 27.

Top Schneider National tractor-trailer mechanics from across the country competed against each other in the areas of engine code resolution, brake component diagnosis and tire analysis.

Mechanics were ranked based on adherence to process, identification of problems, safety and proper usage of tools.

The three mechanics with the highest scores were named the winners of the event. They were, Brian Breedlove of the Houston, Tex. shop facility; Bob Klinger of the Harrisburg, Pa. shop facility and Wes Newton of the West Newton, Ark. shop facility. Awards were presented at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on Saturday.

Schneider National has 32 shop facilities nationwide and employs more than 800 mechanics and shop assistants. Each shop held a local competition in July and selected its top mechanic based on results of the competition. More than 35 mechanics came to Green Bay to compete in the national competition.
