Second FleetSmart workshop coming soon

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Natural Resources Canada through the Office of Energy Efficiency’s FleetSmart program will host, Getting the most from your ECM, the second in a series of free technical workshops.

The workshop will be held at the Four Points Sheraton hotel at the Toronto Airport, 5444 Dixie Road at 7 p.m. for two hours on Mar. 26. It will discuss the management of the fleet sector’s fuel consumption.

Getting the most from your ECM will explore the diesel engine’s electronic control module and how it can deliver valuable information on the operation of your vehicle and it’s fuel consumption.

The seminar will address, how to set up the truck engine, and Detroit Diesel/Mercedes Benz will deliver this topic. Caterpillar will discuss why controlling fuel use matters, while Cummins will talk about how to get the information out of the ECM and Volvo/Mack will present what record keeping needs to be done.
